FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- What is the Noche de 22 Estrellas?
- A live milonga with three tango orchestras at the Kulturkirche St. Stephani, Bremen. The orchestras play in turn, tanda by tanda, with a shared finale. Date: Saturday, 8 May 2027.
- Is this a tango festival?
- No. It is a live milonga, not a festival: a dance night without a workshop or stage programme. Three orchestras alternate tanda by tanda; a DJ only takes over at the After Milonga.
- Which orchestras play?
- La Juan D’Arienzo, Romántica Milonguera, Quinteto Beltango. In between, live cortinas by „Lauter Blech“ cover the transitions.
- Where and when does the event take place?
- Saturday, 8 May 2027 at the Kulturkirche St. Stephani, Stephanikirchhof, 28195 Bremen. Doors 19:00, start 20:00; After Milonga until approx. 02:00.
- Is the event suitable for beginners?
- The Noche de 22 Estrellas is aimed at experienced dancers. To get started, the ongoing tango classes in Bremen are recommended.
- What does a ticket cost and how do I register?
- €66 regular, €55 social (self-assessment, no proof required) and a €100 sponsor ticket (incl. a Beltango CD, available now). Registration is via a form; payment is by bank transfer in advance. Regular tickets on sale from 1 January 2027.
- What makes the event special?
- Three live orchestras in one night — rare in European tango — plus a shared finale of all orchestras, the festive character of a grand live milonga and the distinctive church venue.
- How do I get there and where can I stay?
- The Kulturkirche St. Stephani is centrally located in Bremen’s Stephani quarter — easy to reach by train, bike or on foot. Around the main night there is a tango weekend (Fri–Sun); accommodation recommendations will follow.
